Bali getaways - Day 1

Bali is an island and province of Indonesia. The province includes the island of Bali and a few smaller neighbouring islands, notably Nusa Penida. It is located at the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. Its capital of Denpasar is located at the southern part of the island. With a population of 3,890,757 in the 2010 census, and currently 4,225,000 as at January 2014, the island is home to most of Indonesia's Hindu minority. According to the 2010 Census, 84.5% of Bali's population adhered to Balinese Hinduism, 12% to Islam, and most of the remainder followed ChristianityBali is the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. Since the late 20th century, the province has had a rise in tourism.

I have just back from Bali, Indonesia in couple weeks ago yet now I only have time to upload my photo. Time for relaxing and vacationing went off so quick that I certainly felt not enough. In the trip, we stayed at Taman Suci Suite and Villas. Nice comfortable room. The tour cost per person is RM1,200+. Overall, it's quite a nice enjoyable short trip.

Day 1 - 23/10/2014 (Thursday)

Bought this from cart in The Gardens

Are you guys ready for our trip?? Let's go!!!

First time going to the newly opened KLIA 2, world's largest purposely-built low-cost carrier terminal. It is very spacious, luxurious, and finally it looked like a modern airport compare with the former LCCT. But at certain point, now it looks more like a shopping mall as there are lot of retail spaces inside.

We actually book our driver in before hand rather than get our driver at the airport, and it is much cheaper than you get in airport. The driver information apparently was given by friend's friend which is she has been here in two months ago and she said his service is good. So we take him as our tour guide as well as our driver for our trip. His name is called Komang Astrawan. You can connect him through facebook nor email to him komang_astrawan80@yahoo.com

In our trip total we have 7 people so he gotta charge me USD 45per day (inclusive petrol & parking fee) and you can engaged him for 10 hours max. He is been in tourism industry for 12 years and quite a experienced tour guide and he can speak well in English and BM.

Note:
Just to give you a gentle reminder, please make sure you tell him you just want him as your tour guide nor driver but not other person cause we didn't told him we wanted him permanently in our few days trip and just in coincident we went these few days were peak travel season in Bali so he gotta appoint his relatives or siblings as our tour guide and driver. The guy is a new comer to tourism industry, he doesn't know everything and he is inpatient people and Mr. Komang was went to airport to pick up another tourist which he or she stated wanted him permanently.

Reached Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) after three hours of AirAsia flight, meet our driver and goes to our villas for check-in.

With BFF~

After put down our luggage, now heading to our first attraction place.
First attraction place - Pura Luhur Uluwatu

Heading to our first attraction

Interesting part of this place is the monkeys; tourists tend to get their attention, and try to guess what's their response? They can take off small belongings from you so quick that you didn't notice. One of the monkeys even snatched a sunglasses, climbed up quick to tree and tried to wear it but couldn't since it's big for them.

The Cliff
Kecak Fire Dance

Pura Luhur Uluwatu is both a major Balinese temple - one of the six sad kahyangan revered by all Balinese - and the site of a nightly kecakperformance that re-enacts the Ramayana through chanting half-naked men, masked actors and a dramatic fire-dance.
Pura Luhur Uluwatu was first constructed by a Javanese Hindu guru in the 10th century. The whole temple stands on a cliff soaring 200 feet above a prime Bali surfing spot in the westernmost part of South Bali - the temple's name refers to its position "at the head of the rock", and visitors get an eyeful of the sea as it breaks against the base of the cliffs below. The view is especially beautiful during sunset.
·         Location: eleven miles south of Kuta. 8°49'37.7908"S, 115°5'4.5722"E (Google Maps)
·         Entrance timing and fee: IDR 30,000 for the entrance to the temple and IDR 100,000 for the kecak dance so total is (RM33)

Dinner session we're off to pork ribs as our dinner of the night~
